Politics

As always long gaps in my entries, it seems whenever I have something to say I just never get round to posting it. But I think this issue is very important.

So, politics and political parties. I won't preach or rant and rave (at least not too much), but I think every single one of us has responsibilities in being part of a democratic society. If we want all the rights we are granted in our lucky country we have got to take an interest in the world around us, in our government, and its very sad that people seem to get so disillusioned and want to opt out of argument and debate. Sad that people feel so strongly but think that they can do nothing. Sad that they accept that the government does a lousy job and will get away with it.

My personal opinion, if you care enough or are frustrated, angry, passionate enough then you have to make a stand for something, in one way or another. You can't assume someone else will always stand in your place, or that they will know what you stand for. So the challenge to everyone is to question, to think and to act. To investigate how you can have a say. I challenge you to think about joining a political party and adding your voice to the chorus or to find your own way to interact.
