I'm only halfway through reading this book but I feel moved to recommend it to absolutely everyone to read right now!!!

If any of this is true (and I think we can safely assume that at least some of it is) then we as a race need to move now. This is no time to think that the world's problems are so big that we can't do anything, or to assume someone else will take care of the problem for us. Each of us has a responsibility to spread the word, and to change our habits as best we can, ie: turn off lights, take public transport/ride, subscribe to green power, etc.
It would be sad if we drove ourselves extinct. and also rather humorous, from the perspective of someone on the outside.
