A Poem

As usual I have left a bit of a space between entries, oh well. I have been too caught up in the mundane. So here is a silly paragraph of thoughts inspired by the carlton gardens on a beautiful winters day.

Peace without silence

Metal and Oil, humming, turning,

But overlaid, water droplets splashing

Wind gusting, leaves drifting on their lonely flight from the trees

Dull light, serenity, trees reaching out to the sky...

roots clutching deeply into the Earth

Their gnarled tops forming seats like from a poem.

Peace

Then sunlight pulses through

Breath catches. Gleaming light, off the water, off the grass, through the leaves.

We live too long without taking time to look up, to smell the wind.

Take the time, who knows how much there is.
